Incorporating Network Marketing Into Your Multiple Streams Of Income Strategy

Multiple Streams of Income & MLM (Multi-Level Marketing)

In todays world, there is more to making money than having a 9 to 5 job. A common term that is used all over is multiple income streams, which means that you have money coming to you from more than one source. This is a very big deal these days as people are on the lookout for ways to bring in extra money to counter the high cost of living in the world. Finding success with this kind of marketing can be very important if you wish to be successful in the world. Having a single source of income can be very dangerous as the well can run dry in a quick hurry and leave you with nothing. Following the times is important because there are things that you need to be doing if you are going to start generating the kind of income that you want without having to do a lot more work in the process. The generation of multiple income streams has nothing to do with getting a second job and really relates more to the business world that so many are joining then it does to the standard methods of earning.

Multiple income streams are directly related to MLM (multi-level marketing) and business. Actually, they are the concept upon which MLM is based in part. This means that you will need to have an understanding of the market and the MLM system to start with the multiple income generation that you need. So we should look at how the whole MLM system works to fully understand how the multiple income streams works.

The basis for MLM is the people that are doing the selling. The company does not do any kind of direct selling. They use only salespeople who have been recruited through a variety of ways and they are then paid based on the amount of products they sell. So lets say they get a twenty five percent commission on all sales. So for every dollar they make twenty-five cents right? Well, instead of just selling the products the salesperson also sells the system that was used to sell the person that sold the product. Now, if they get twenty five percent of all sales this means that their sales have increased because they have someone selling the very same products under them. So, they get twenty five percent of that persons twenty five percent.

This continues on as the network or levels of the market continue to grow. For each person that is selling under the original salesperson, they get a percentage of all commissions earned. This creates an unlimited number of income streams that are all leading back to the same person, who in turn leads back to the main company.

The basis for all of this is the fact that the more people that you get selling for you the better off you are. Instead of trying to hustle and sell enough products to make a living with the commission you get, you are building a unique sales staff that will continue to earn you income as they continue to bring in more people to sell.

The Gambler

Care to make a wager? I said this to a friend during a discussion we were having. He quickly responded that, he was sure that I knew he wasnt a gambling man. His answer completely took me by surprise. I was utterly stumped. Here was a man, I thought, who reaps the benefits of a democratic, capitalist society and he was saying that he did not gamble.

So, I inquired, What is gambling?

I just dont bet and stuff like that, he responded.

My definition of gambling for years has been any wager, bet, or proffered material/service in a situation of chance in hopes of making a profit or gain. My friend, I knew, has been dabbling in the stock market for years now. Does he not consider the stock market a form of gambling? Within the context of my definition, I can readily identify the fundamental markers. Take, for example, if my friend takes money (his or others) and invests into a stock that is selling at $50 a share. In all respects, my friend would not be buying into this stock to lose. So let us say that my friend buys a $50 share and the stock doubles to $100, my friend has just made a profit. The fact that he could have lost his $50 expresses the chance he took. This is gambling in all sense of the term.

A car salesman is a gambler; anyone who opens a business is a gambler because they made a wager by putting money into an idea and hoped that in doing so they would make a significant return. It is no wonder that Jean Falzon, Executive Director of the National Council on Problem Gambling, can make the statement that, gambling is now a national pastime. She can make such a statement because our whole system is built on making money or taking chances.

When I mentioned this to my friend, he flat out disagreed and said I was taking the meaning of gambling out of context. To bolster his position he said that, only dice games, card games, and slot machines should be considered gambling.

I countered with the question, what about the lottery? Is not a casino a business? Is not a clothing store a business? All of them are out to make a profit; is there a chance that they could loose their investment? The mere system of capitalism is gambling.

How? he demanded.

I told him, to lay in wait for something to happen in hopes of making a profit is capitalizing. This involves chance and a hope of making a profit whether monetary or material gain.

I held my hand up indicating him to hold his response then I plunged into yet another fact. Do you know that according to the National Council on Problem Gambling, over 70% of U.S. adults report gambling at least once in the past year? Where do you think this appetite for gambling comes from? It is embedded in our capitalist culture.

Lets face it, you too are a gambler, just remember every time you try to avoid stopping for gas when you are running late but your gas tank is running low. You are taking a chance in hopes of getting to your destination without running out of gas. Your possible gain is the time you saved by not going to the gas station. In all actuality, you just gambled with yourself to see if you could make it to your destination without the added stop.

My point of view may seem as odd to some as it did to my friend, at first. What I tried to explain to him is this: just because he does not go to casinos or poker halls does not mean that he is not a gambler. There are compulsive gamblers and those that are action seekers (they usually just play for the action, not the win). Maybe he does not fit into either of these categories, but because he is usually on the computer checking for the slightest change in a companys stock prices, he has become compulsive, addictive even.

This addition runs even deeper, it threatens our youth. According to Pat Fowler, Project Director of the Florida Council on Compulsive Gambling, [the] promotion of lottery, horse racing, or bingo leads young people to think it is ok to do [it]. But in my opinion this is only half-way true. While promotion might make these avenues of gambling more popular it does not overshadow the biggest examples of what drives our society to gamble, and that is our education, which is a gamble within itself. We are taught to reach for the stars, to aim for the sky, to take a chance. This tautology is meant to prepare us for life in society, but just reinforces our get-rich-quick attitude. Taking a chance on the stock market or capitalizing on a business idea, all require a percentage of chance and investment.

What I was trying to explain to my friend was the fact that he did not immediately see the connection because according to the Illinois Institute for Addiction Recovery, pathological gambling is often a hidden disease. And as Alec Roy, MD, a psychiatrist formerly at the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism notes that pathological gamblers have lower levels of norepinephrine than normal gamblers; norepinephrine is secreted under stress, arousal, or thrill, so pathological gamblers gamble to make up for their underdosage. So the next time you wonder why it feels good to run to the computer and check the latest price change of your stock, or the next time you convince yourself that your business needs more advertising because it feels good, remember your norepinephrine level because this is gambling.

My friend nodded in what seemed like a dejected agreement. So, to drive my point home, I reminded him of the time he ran the red light.

He smiled and said, Maybe Im a gambler after all.

I smiled back at him. Society has created a gambler in all of us. We all seek to raise our norepinephrine levels for thrill and excitement, or chance and gain.

Mr. Lewis is a published author and poet. His first book, Pay to Play, was published in January 2005 by Around the Way Books. It details Marlon a regular guy who received an offer he couldnt refuse. Black Issues Book Review said of this title Lewis's voice is of someone who knows the street, and his book is an entertaining read for someone who doesn't know this world or for someone who can relate to it. (May-June, 2005 issue)

His second book, The Plexus Agenda is due out in November 2007. This exciting espionage novel explores the belief that the next United States civil war will be Blacks against Whites. Mr. C. Lee of the NAACP states it was quite gripping, compelling, and a total page turner. It was too entertaining to put down. You have identified some of the fears African Americans have, and manage to weave them into one hell of a story.

Fleet Insurance Services - Top Tips & Strategies To Help You Find Cheaper Commercial Insurance!

Your driver's age is considered with fleet insurance companies, drivers have to be over 25 with at least two years driving experience. But not to worry, you can insure your vehicles for any driver but your premium will probably be higher, you have to take the good and the bad.

Your drivers must obviously have a full UK driving license and be licensed for the vehicle they drive for your company. For instance, they must have a class one HGV license to driver 32-ton articulated vehicle. Most fleet insurance companies will allow any driver to driver any vehicle but if you employ older drivers with more experience, you could fall into a different category and be liable for a smaller premium cost.

If your company has a bad claims record, the terms of your policy can change and higher excess will be wanted from insurance companies. If one of your drivers has a bad claims record, the insurance company can ask for an increase for that driver. A poor claims record can mean stricter terms are applied and higher excesses.

Your cover can vary between your vehicles; let me explain you can insure difference vehicles with difference cover, comprehensive, third-party fire and theft, or third-party only. You can increase or decrease your excess for certain vehicles to lower the cost of the premium. You may benefit from cheaper legal expenses if your vehicles are insured under one fleet insurance policy. Your vehicle windscreens can be covered for a much lower price under a fleet policy too.

Risk Management for your vehicles can be managed better if all your vehicles are insured on one policy. If you insure your vehicle with different insurance companies, then each company can take a different look to price your policy and this possibly will cost your company more cash. A fleet insurance policy will make sure all your vehicles are covered properly and reduce the risks for your business.

Top 10 Sales Manager Mistakes

I find it interesting that when I search the internet for articles on sales the focus is generally on the sales person and not the manager. I do appreciate the importance for sales people to improve their sales skills but who is improving the manager? Let's look at what I believe are the top 10 sales manager mistakes:

1. The Sales Manager/Account Rep who has to wear two hats. To be a successful sales manager you must be a manager of your people and focused on their success. If they succeed, you succeed. Give up the account rep role even if it is a plum account. You can still be involved with the account but you should be there to support or help close for your rep.

2. The Let Me Sell Sales Manager; a great Sales Person does not always mean a great Sales Manager. Some of the most successful sales people I have met over the years were the best closers. Aggressive, talkative and very social. However, many of these people when moved to a managers role began to fail. Why? Because they spent their career focused on their success. It is very difficult to turn that switch off. It requires EI, Emotional Intelligence. I believe a measure of a persons EI is nurtured over the years and also has to do with how they are wired. In other words, they are naturally empathetic and care about the success of others.

3. The I Can Do But Can't Teach Sales manager; a great sales manager must be a great sales trainer. Too often I see sales managers who are great communicators but don't know how to reverse engineer what they do to teach others. Send them off to a seminar or get additional training outside the company is their mantra. My suggestion is for this sales manager to get some training on how to train.

4. The Ivory Tower Sales Manager is the manger who is not accessible. They have the "I've made it" attitude and hide away in their big office sending emails and planning golf games and taking trips. Sure the sales manager needs to do this but not if their objective is get as many perks out of the job as possible. In other words, their rep or the reps client could care less if they were there or not and in fact, would prefer if they were not there because it is effecting the nurturing of the relationship started by the rep.

5. The Harping Sales Manager is the person who never upgrades their experience and knowledge of sales and is stuck in an old school mentality. They believe if they answer any question with a standard response or sales management spin or use a strong arm bully approach this will work on their reps. All this does is churn out sales reps causing a low retention rate and from the outside looking in, your clients and prospects don't want to work with a company that can't even keep employees or keep them happy.

6. The Sales Manager With "I" Problems is the person who takes credit for all the teams successes and passes mistakes and failures onto their team or an individual. If you want to be a leader, a sales manager, then you must take responsibility publicly for all failures and pass the accolades onto your team. The respect you will garner from your team will be inspirational and they will climb the highest mountains for you to make you proud of them. In some respects you are assuming the role of a parent and they are the child. Your vocabulary should then change from "I" to "We" or "Them". Try it and see how good it feels.

7. The Grunter Sales Manager is the person who never listens to his reps and shows their lack of interest in many ways. For example; they keep working on their computer with their head down responding with a grunt on occasion. When a rep has a problem, stop what you are doing and listen. Now I know we need to manage by effort but if they are in your office then we must assume you gave them permission to enter and therefore speak to you, so listen to them.

8. The Talker Sales Manager is the person who loves to hear his own voice and never truly listens to his reps. "Seek first to understand before being understood" is Stephen Covey's 5th principle from his book the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. This essentially means we need to listen with our ears and our heart. We need to connect by understanding the other persons view point before having them understand our view point. Listen, but NOT with the intent to respond. Which means don't be deaf because you are thinking only about what you are going to say next.

9. The MBA Sales Manager is the person with very little real life experience but has a wealth of education that abounds with theory. I pity the reps with this person. This sales manager answers every problem with a book answer. Throw the book away and get some real sales experience under your belt.

10. The Numbers Guy Sales Manager is the person who tries to manage the rep by the Statistics but has no clue on how to interpret the numbers. In the old days maybe a poor rep could be motivated to work harder by the numbers but reps are smarter and more educated today. One thing we all know about stats is they can be interpreted to mean what ever we want to say. As sales managers we do need to be on top of the numbers but don't use them as a big stick to get your reps to work harder. The numbers should be used to isolate problem areas in your sales process unique to the individual and the team. Then once isolated you work together to fix the weakness.

When Joint Pain Leads to Replacement

The reason it is important to find an effective treatment for joint pain and the conditions that cause the achy symptoms in the first place is to avoid the drastic measures of having a total joint replacement. This type of procedure removes an arthritic or damaged joint and replaces it with an artificial joint called a prosthesis. While many people may have heard of a total knee replacement, this kind of surgery may also include the hip, ankle, shoulder, foot, elbow, and even the fingers.

Patients usually opt for a total joint replacement when joint pain has become too unbearable to endure. The damage that has taken place with the cartilage surrounding the joint is also too spoiled to repair. Severe pain may become debilitating, where an individual alters their lifestyle in order to accommodate their weakened bones, muscles, and joints. Without a total joint replacement, an individual may become disabled and unable to function in the manner they desire.

A doctor will perform a physical examination, run a few laboratory tests, and order a couple of x-rays in order to reveal the extent of joint damage. This will also help the patient come to a conclusion whether they wish to undergo the procedure to enhance their quality of life.

When a patient decides that a total joint replacement surgery fits their personal needs, they will make an appointment to have a surgeon replace the damaged parts of the joint. For instance, in the case of a damaged knee, the ruined ends of the bones and cartilage are replaced with metal and plastic parts that are molded to restore knee movement and function. With a total hip replacement, the damaged ball (upper end of the femur) is switched with a metal ball attached to a metal stem that fits into the femur. A plastic socket placed into the pelvis completes the surgery.

Overall, the materials used in a total joint replacement operation are constructed to encourage natural joint movement. With the use of metal and plastic, the materials are built to last and resistant to normal wear and tear. After the surgery, doctors often promote the immediate use of replaced joints. Some individuals (such as total hip and knee replacement recipients) are able to stand and walk with the use of a cane, crutches, or a walker on the day after their procedure. During the recovery process, it is important to exercise and treat the temporary pain that comes with weak muscles and the healing process.

When To End a Relationship: 3 Trouble Signs

Charity sighed as she hung up her cell-phone. She felt horrible about not being completely honest with Brad, instead telling him she had to use the bathroom to get him off the phone. The problem was, these days their relationship felt more and more constricting. Brad called her five to ten times a day, and often asked her where she was or what she was doing. Charity felt as if she was constantly reporting to him, like he was her father or something. She really liked Brad, but at this point, she wasn't sure whether or not she wanted their dating relationship to continue.

Sometimes even the best of dating relationships turn sour. Often, a person can get so committed to a relationship that they fail to recognize some of the key signs that it may be time to break things off. Here are a few trouble signs to watch for:

1. Controlling partner. If the person you are dating seems obsessive, wanting to know every little detail of what you are doing, or calling you multiple times a day (and then getting mad if you have to go), you are probably dealing with a controlling partner. The last thing you want is to end up married to a person who will control your every move. Plus, often this is just the beginning of an abusive relationship.

2. Lack of interest. Maybe you have been dating for awhile, and you and your partner used to have lots to talk about, but things just seem really stale. Or perhaps your boyfriend or girlfriend just doesn't seem as eager to answer the phone when you call. If one or both parties are feeling a lack of interest, chances are it could be time to move on.

3. Abuse. Unfortunately, many relationships end up being abusive. Maybe it starts out with someone being controlling, then progresses to yelling and negativity. Perhaps it begins as verbal abuse, and the abused party tells themselves that it's "just words". Well, watch out, because one day those words could become violence. Never allow yourself to stay in a relationship where mental or physical abuse is taking place.

Of course, these are just a few trouble signs in relationships. Find more advice at www.Christian-online-dating-guide.com. Remember, you could end up marrying the person you are dating, so be sure he/she is the right one for you.
